    Quarter panel patch

I have been welding in patches on my '63 Polara. I am having one issue. At the front of the rear wheel opening, where the quarter rolls under, I can't tell exactly how far the patch should go. If someone will send or post a picture of an early B front of the wheel opening, from the bottom, I...

    Convertible quarter panel question

Hoping that someone can tell me about the bracing that goes from the wheel well to the inside of the quarter panel on an early B convertible. Appears to have some type of rubbery material between the brace and the quarter. Is it an adhesive?

    Rear wheelwell differences

I purchased a pair of rear wheel wells for early B bodies. My '63 convertible seems to have a different shape in the rearmost part. Almost appear to be flattened somewhat. Anybody with a convertible able to confirm or deny this observation on my part? Easy enough to modify if necessary.

    Quarter panel fit

Hoping that someone can share a close up picture of where the quarter panel and the rocker panel are joined. My '63 overlaps the quarter. I have been finding a lot of poorly done sheetmetal work on this thing. Just need to see what's correct. Thanks in advance

    1963 Polara front fender trim

Duh, I posted this in the '66 up forum. Here goes. This is probably a question with an obvious answer, but; The '63 Polara (not a 500) that I purchased last year has the left fender moldings boogered up. I managed to get the thin one off and made some modified Ford push clips to secure it. The...

    Early B 727 downshift seal

My cable operated 727 has developed a major transmission leak. Traced it to the throttle pressure (downshift) seal. Actually came out easily. The new NAPA seal installed albost too easily IMO. Just by hand while laying under the car. I did install the seal in the right direction with the smooth...

    1962/1963 Windshield washer

If anyone has pics of an installed 1963 windshield washer setup, stock or modified, I would appreciate any closeups. It appears that the nozzles must fasten below the cowl? Conversion to electric may or may not be realistic. I am late on the original that Bolson6333 had for sale. His pictures...

    Fan Shroud

I must be doing something wrong or old timer's disease is setting in. Because I'm going to install AC, I'm trying to put a fan shroud on my '63 Polara with a 318 poly engine. Pulled the radiator for cleaning, mounted the 4 shroud brackets. Dry fit the 2 piece shroud. Fit well, even around the...

    Aftermarket AC

I am looking for some information on aftermarket AC condenser fitment on early B bodies. The underhood stuff is simple but there sure ain't much room under the dash on my '63 Polara. Standard Polara. No console. Most of the ones lister on Ebay are 15.7" X 13.8" X 5.5 " tall. I taped together a...

    Trans cable leak

The shift cable in my '63 727 is dripping. Doesn't seem to be from the O ring. Looks like someone tried electrical tape without success. I was considering cleaning with brake cleaner, splitting some rubber trans line, use permatex on it, secure with hose clamps. Other than replacing the cable...

    Selling Question

I am just about ready to list my '63 Dodge Polara convertible. Ebay is expensive but has a lot of viewers. Craigslist is cheap but I am a bit reluctant in having unknown folks at my house (I am wheelchair bound). My question is; are there any reputable, reasonably priced, places to list my '63...

    Vacuum cannister arm stamp

My original '63 318 sistributor vacuum canister is bad. The arm is stamped with a 10. Is that the amount of vacuum required or the advance amount? I can't seem to find a 10. Closest is 10.5, then 11, 12 etc.

    1963 PCV

My low miles '63 Polara 318 has, what I believe is the original PCV setup. Thought that I would share the pics of the original, taken apart, cleaned, new valve, painted, and assembled. I know that it appears different than others but based on everything, I do believe that this is correct for the...

    Early 727 filter

Recently purchased an original '63 Polara with a poly 318 and 727. Just starting to do some maintenance on it. The transmission filter is a "can" that is inline with the trans line, It is original I've seen them before, but now I own one. I haven't dropped the pan, therefore I hope that someone...

    rear drum brakes

Any suggestions for rear brake shoes (1965 Coronet)? I'm very unhappy with the performance of the Autozone lifetime shoes on the car now. The parking brake won't even hold the car on a slight hill, and yes the primary and secondary shoes are installed correctly and the parking brake cable is...
