Do I know you? I don’t think so. I had a 1966 Charger back in 1978 it was my first car and belonged to a family member who bought it brand new. You are Wrong. That car did not have a sway bar, had no provisions for such. So all 1966 chargers did NOT have sway bars. Maybe the tab location changed...
I'm enjoying your build as I'm working on a 66 Charger right now. I had one as my first car when I was a kid and always wanted another one. I found mine last year. This one was originally a Poly 318 that someone swapped for a later (1973) 360. My original one had a 383. I'm debating on either...
Negative all 66 and 67 chargers did not come with Sway Bars. If you have clamp on type its a after market kit from Hellwig. I just went through this. when you put the weld tabs on you need to mark them up with the car on the ground at normal ride height. I took some advice and screwed myself...
I didn't think the undercarriage was much different for mid sized Mopars. The Holly video is a 66 Charger and they say you only need to beat some clearance dents into your trans tunnel and trim a couple unused tabs off the transmission.
Holly has Transmission support adapters and some decent you tube videos. Apparently you cand pound the pan and trim some tabs from the trans. Check it out.
Ok Guys i got it on without pulling the pan. I was watching Birdsongs video where he's rebuilding a 360 for Minty his truck. He put the timing cover on by putting the bottom part in then kind of flipping the top into position. then start with the lower bolts. This worked real well. Thanks for...
Topher McGuiness Is the man. He rebuilt mine for a nominal fee and has all of the other electrical components to make your lights work perfectly. Here's his site Home
Hydro Boost is a Ford design that uses Hydraulic fluid from the power steering pump instead of engine vacuum for your power brakes.
I don't know what stock pump you have. I imagine if it was a disc brake pump it may be adequate.
My 66 Charger came with a 360 with a 1973 date code. I have no idea what has been done to this engine prior to my ownership. I upgraded the front end to Disk brakes and a Borgeson power steering unit. While bolting my new Power Steering pump in the bolts that bolt into the water jacket pulled...
In 2005 I bought a Jeep CRD (Common Rail Diesel) it came with a Optima Red top from the factory. That battery lasted until 2017 and well over 200000 miles. I rebuilt the top end of that diesel and gave it to my Step Son in 2020 when the engine had over 300000 miles of course he totaled it. C'est...
you could do a Dye penetrant test on the block and in the cylinders to see if it has a crack. You can do a DP test without having to take the whole thing apart.
