I feel your pain cause I just did the same thing in my 73 roadrunner and had a heck of a time and pulled the motor back out multiple times before I got everything figured out
Yes it is a slap stick car and I did try to flip both ends but the steering column is 3/4" and the geer box is 5/8 so I'm wondering if I could try n find one that will work that has the right size ends
I actually like that car...I think if it was a lil bit cheaper I would think about buying it but for that price (in my opinion) by the time u get it painted and do the interior u could buy a superbee completely done cheaper

Ok mine looks like the second one which I believe u say is the 73 Colum if I read it correctly....but mine for some reason has the coupler and puck reversed..my puck is at the top and coupler at the bottom but in your picture is the opposite
My car uses the thick steering biscuit....I wasn't aware they made different steering columns except if it was power steering or manual steering.i knew they were different lengths
as far as the passenger inner fender i had to trim it out like the big block cars...and the steering hits the back header tube and thats without the rubber rag joint
im currently working on my 73 roadrunner and i switched from a 340 small block to a big block 440 in the car now im having issues with the steering hitting the headers...ive looked at a couple big block (factory) roadrunners and it looks like there rag joint is down towards the steering box...
in my opion i think its a good deal.ive been looking for a 70 for a while and where i live in ohio if it even comes with a motor they want 6k.i had to settle for a 71rr for now.
