I think you two are confused.
There are 3 ports of the right size, 2 are the heater hose ports the other is plugged 'thats where he needs to install the autometer...
There are 2 locations for oil at the back center of the block, install in one of those, the other will already have the factory sender in it.
Is your temp sender on the driver side or passenger side of the water pump housing?

You more than likely need the matching sensor/sending units for your gauges if they are the none mechanical type. If thats the case, then yes you can tap into the same places.

Yes it's something you gotta do with the car running there by using up the fuel in the bowl and the level balancing out with enough adjustment. You should be able to get the fuel level 'below' the sight hole. If it seems like it's not making a diff at the adjuster, it could be the need and seat...
The float setting is made by adjusting the nut & bolt on top on the bowl itself.
The clear site plugs are so you can see the fuel level and not have gas spilling out if say you had removed the original brass sight hole plugs 'and adjusted the fuel level to just crest the the bottom of the sight...
It's centered, thats a good start...however it may still not transfer the cam lobe perfectly, but don't fret...most of our stuff is never EXACT anyhow.
