I am having a 1969 hemi GTX inspected on Monday. The sellers and I have agreed on a price pending the outcome, but I expect it to go well. If I am correct about the inspection results, there is one thing I would like to change, and that's the stock gear shift. Mid-year of 1969 a Hurst 4-speed...
I'm in the market for a nice, original hemi GTX. No clones, and no projects, I've had enough of those, I want something done. 4-speed or auto, can be a replacement engine, but an original J code car. Will certainly consider a well-optioned Hemi road runner of the same dates. Thanks gang.
I am thinking about buying a 68 charger R/T hemi car, and found this one. As I have dug into it some, the seller sent me the following:
While building this car, had to find many parts. Received the car with many missing parts when purchased. The restoration took 3 years to build. Govier...
I am looking for the following:
Headlight doors, both sides. Need to be in very good condition, or simply need to be painted. No holes, chips or cracks.
Wiring harness. Engine was originally a 383, now a 440. I'm guessing the harnesses are the same.
Thanks
Steve
I need both headlight doors for a 68 charger, and they need to be in very good condition. I am still hunting online for reproductions, but no luck yet. Anyone know of any?
I have a 1968 hemi Road runner, automatic, and sometimes it won't go into gear. Fluid is good, linkage seems okay, but occasionally it won't shift into any gear. I drove it this morning, started great, ran fine, and I drove about 4 miles to the bank, parked, and went in. I came out about 10...
I have a 68 road runner with manual steering which has more play than I would like. When I reach into the engine compartment and grab the steering bar just in front of the box, how much play should there be? Is there a way to check the box other than that?
I know the older manual cars had play...
I am about to buy this 68 road runner, and would like to know if this is a correct steering wheel. Any thoughts from someone who is far more informed than I am?
Thanks
I am still waiting for my 69 GTX to arrive, but I want to begin the search for a few things it needs.
I am looking for a reproduction radiator (440, 4 bbl, auto) and a Six Pack manifold and carbs. The radiator will go on first, followed by the intake and carbs next summer. I know of Year One...
My "new" 1969 GTX shoulld arrive next weekend, and sometime during the next 6 or so months I would like to change the single 4 barrel to trips or quads. I have always been under the impression that trips are more for show than performance, and the quads are the big power producers.
I am leaning...
I am looking for a clean 64 Polara 500 hardtop, 2 door, and a 4-speed is my first choice. Auto isn't a deal breaker, but I want to look for the stick first. Either car myst be at a minimum a high quality driver with no rust issues. My back has just about had it, and a lot of work on a car is out...
