Thank you SuperFly TNT for your reply. This is the same car I was referring two. Peter had brought this car back to Vermont from California. If memory serves me correctly he had brought two cars and used the Coronet as the tow vehicle. I don't remember what the second car was. I worked with...
When I was younger and living in Vermont I had a friend that had a gold 1971 Dodge Coronet wagon that had a big block (don't remember what size) and a four speed with a pistol grip. He had wrecked it and had it stripped to a shell and said someday he would rebuild it. A few years later he went...
pics
I would be glad to show pics of the progress if I can find the parts. My plan with the Diplomat is to creat a what if Dodge offered. A Superbee in 1981 and this will be my interpretation. In addition to the hood scoop I am also looking for a M-body floor shifter and console and bucket...
bumpers
Where are you located? If memory serves me correctly there are at least two places in Florida that do rechrome bumpers. I think one is in Melbourne (or the space coast area) and another in the greater Tampa area. I had seen them advertised in Mike Kelly's Cruise News. Gregg
wheels
My experience is that Mopar wheels will fit a Ford but I have not been able to get Ford Wheels to fit a Mopar. I don't remember if I put the wheels from my 87 Diplomat on my 96 Intrepid or the other way around. The new rear wheel drive Mopars might be the same but not certain. Gregg
not so foggy
Your memory isn't that foggy. They did put the Duster name on the Turismo as well as the Volare and the Trail Duster was available fron the beginning of the 70's until Plymouth didn't market a SUV.
You can thank our government for not having the Superbee in the USA. The Valiant...
I think it is awesome too. I would drive it too. Being Panther Pink and a rag top you can be certain not to see a twin on the show field. I get tired of going to a show and seeing so many duplicates. Gregg
My 2 cents
I've got to chime in to this debate and add my two cents. This is merely my opinion and my own views but also how I feel about all this. If you are fortunate enough to own a very rare car then I think it is wrong to do anything other than keep it original and if it is in poor shape...
towing
I towed my 74 Charger from Vermont to Florida on a U-Haul auto transport with no issues what so ever. I also own a retired U-Haul tow dolly and I have towed both my 74 Charger and my 73 Satelite Sebring again with no issues. U-Haul equipment is relatively cheap to rent and will get the...
grille and bezels
I am fairly certain that I have a near perfect grille from a Sebring. I am not sure about the bezels. What are you expecting to pay for a nice grille? What are you expecting to pay for a set of bezels? You can reach me at moparmen1963 at a o l. Thanks Gregg
Alphabet Soup
There seems to be much confusion on this site or at least this thread as to what car falls into what body designation. I will try to set this straight and go thru each as I know them. A-Body consisted of most of the compacts from 1960 thru...
