Imagine you are Foreigner, rocking since 1976, millions and records sold, and rapper Missy Elliot who was 5 when you formed your band gets inducted before you! A pretty bitter pill if you ask me, but I'm sure they will be forced to be gracious when they get their turn to speak.
I let a prospective buyer drive junk just based only on a conversation to judge their character. But for nice cars:
1. Talk and inspect the car and make a judgement on how serious they are and if they seem like a normal person.
2. Step 1 should be enough to discuss money to see if your'e in...
I would never want one, but if it was parked at cruize night I'd spend half an hour looking it over. They used to be ubiquitous. I have not seen a running one for years. Have fun with it.
This hobby is really becoming loaded with pitfalls. I would hate to be a youngster trying to wade my through restoring an old car or even just keeping one running.
Research the basic terms and what makes for a potentially good stock. Start reading the free financials like Yahoo "Financial" tab every day for 10-15 minutes. Ignore any advice to buy something and do not follow advice linked to any of the "celebrity investors". It's mostly biased and designed...
B7 is a late 60's color and you don't see a lot of them. It's a shame, because it's a nice shade. Google for example a 1969 Dodge color chart.
B7, B3 and B5 are all metallics so the age of the paint and the light conditions make all of them look different depending on these factors. For this...
There are some great hiking stick/defense all-in one's available out there. They keep you out of trouble with those that might think you are armed with a baseball bat. I have a self-made one, but I am thinking about upgrading since there have been a lot of cougar sightings on the trails around...
Aw, man!
There is a guy around here that is a wizard at repairing stuff just like this to the point where you cannot even see it. His work is unbelievable. Take a look around your area - I'm sure that can be be repaired.
For covers that have button sewn in, did Legendary ever fix the problem with the vinyl covers falling off the button? I' looking at buying a set in the future, but probably not if this is still an issue.
Some people are really good at turning a decent project car into a basket case and thinking that this is progress. That's because it's pretty easy and inexpensive to dismantle something. Others know that it is best to leave a potential project intact until you are fully committed and have the...
Kind of a broad response, but I like most of the year 1960-1961 american cars. Detroit was going through a weird transition phase and the cars are just kind of awkward, but also cool. You hardly ever see them around which makes them even more interesting when you Do see one.
Hope you kick it soon.
Due to all various environmental and sociological factors, it's only gong to get worse as time goes on. There is really only one defense, and that is to minimize close contact with other people as much as practical.
I love seeing input on this thread with people using their B bodies for daily activities or driving around for no reason at all. Drive them every chance you get
Yesterday, I finally got the numbers# engine in my Charger started up and broke in and took it for a 10 mile drive down...
I was making $9/hr as a non-union framer in 1985. By 1988 it was $12. Google says its about $27.77/hr here now, so thats (x2.3).
The house I bought for $83k (8.35% interest) in 1989 is now worth $500k (x6), but it was a run-down grow house when I bought it and fixed it up, so comparatively it...
This is a pretty interesting car to many and very interesting to certain crowds. It would be a shame to see it restored to anything but stock. Then it becomes just one of many gussied-up 318 sedans. Repaint it R6, restore the tan interior, throw a spotlight on it and keep researching.
It's...
We do not have "record" inflation, though we all certainly hope it gets another point and half+ lower. It has been way, way worse in our lifetimes. Corporations are always laying off and it makes for good headlines... but current overall employment numbers are actually pretty good. The Govt...
