Racing a Post or Hardtop, is one better ?

If you are going fast enough to run a roll bar or cage, the stiffness added by a post becomes meaningless. IMO, post cars are usually cheaper to obtain and they are more likely to have light-weight options like manual steering or (or lack of options), etc. and that is why they are preferred race...

Should you just start out by buying what you've always wanted? Is it cheaper that way? 1964 B Body

Or, do what I did: Buy your favorite one right out of the gate (69 Charger), sell it after 5 years, go through forty other Mopars, and then buy your favorite once again (at 100x times the costs of the first one).

    Yard find..

I watched a 57 Coronet and 57 New Yorker, both hemi cars, rot for 30 years as they sat on a hillside right below a spring. This was next to nice 2 car garage full of old clothes, newspapers, and a lifetime of misc. crap. I made a couple of offers through the years but the widow still saw them...

Transmission Cooler Under Car Suggestions Needed (1965 Belvedere II)

A fan on the trans cooler will not be as effective as air moving through the grille, but still better than a stock radiator tank cooler. I agree that your overheating problem is very unlikely to be the trans cooler. That pusher fan you have mounted is very ineffective. Not sure what the engine...

What should I offer? 65 Bel. II

Does it run, move, stop, and steer? How well? How many miles? Is it stock of modified? Interior condition? Rust? Paint condition? Good tires? What options? Color? Decent chrome? Possessed by evil demons? Clear title? ....... ? Pending details, I'd say somewhere between $300 and $25000. Start...

62 Dart Wagon Gas Tank - Confirm?

Hi there. Yes I still have the 62 Plymouth Wagon tank. I intended to modify the inlet to fit my 60 since any tanks for these wagons are so hard to find, but I have a 60 tank now, so the 62 tank can go. Feel free to call me tomorrow. Mike 360-245-3933. It's loud in the shop so leave a message if...

    How can it be?

This is why my 57 Dodge and 60 Plymouth are hot rods, not stock restorations. It's just too hard to swallow those prices.

4 Door to 2 Door Conversion Questions

I have no idea how you could be accurately advised without price and photos, other than it should be a bargain compared to an actual 2-door clone. If the dimensions are incorrect, it should be a steal compared to one.

Wheel Size for 64 Savoy Wagon

Nobody can answer because you have not provided enough info on the wheel backspacing. Install a wheel set, measure the frame from the rim and then the backspacing of the wheel. Then take the wheel you are planning to use and compare measurements. Do a little math and get a reliable answer...

Will this wheel and tire fit under my '63 Dodge

Alum slots 8.5 with 3-1/2 backspace and 275 tire will not fit on my 60 Plymouth Wagon. It rubs the outside.

    Value of 413 & 440 Blocks

What would you people say a 68 Charger HP 4-speed long block, pan to intake, pulled in late 70s is valued? Never been apart.

    60/40 seat

I have recently bought a 57 Coronet bench seat with tracks for $140, and a 68 Fury bench seat with tracks for $100. I also sold a 73 Charger bench seat that I gave away at $25, and even at that price it took a month to sell it. These all needed recovering, but otherwise decent shape.

62 Dart Wagon Gas Tank - Confirm?

This was sold to many many years ago for my 60 Plymouth. Wagon... which, when I finally went to install discovered that it is not. It seems to be labeled 62 Dart S.W. Writing is typical junk yard sloppy and partially obliterated, but between the two lables and looking at pictures of cars on...
