Hello from Tacoma, WA! ('74 Charger)

Welcome from South of you. See you on the road soon I hope. I have had 9 3rd Gen Chargers .... 2 as of right now.

    New 73 roadrunner

Yes, kinda: The bench seat shifter is farther forward than the bucket seat shifter location (to clear the bench seat). You can add the buckets and the shifter will work fine, but it will not be in a location where you can also add a factory shift console. If you wanted to go full monte and make...

    Hoping to join the club

Positives are Roadrunner, EV2, and complete. But, the fender tag is a good indication of the amount of rust you will find upon close inspection. It certainly looks like the cowl is leaking into the interior, and it is a ton of work to repair this area. Also check bottoms of the fenders...

Rebuilding a 1972 Plymouth satellite on a budget

That does not sound great, but then again I have driven 318 cars with ticking and low oil pressure for 10's of thousands of miles beyond what would be considered poor condition. Key indicators of just how worn things are for you would be your oil pressure and a compression test. Your car likely...

Rebuilding a 1972 Plymouth satellite on a budget

New engines need to be broken in and often come with problems and adjustments that need to be made over time. If I was in your shoes, I would check the car out thoroughly and make the drive as-is. 318's are pretty bullet proof even when tired. If I was to make one upgrade, it would be to install...

    Hi I’m RR66

That's a neat story. I remember checking out all the cool cars when I was a paper boy back in the day.

    I need help

The shop that can/will do this job is the best source to plan it with, but frankly, a daily driver 572 is not a great idea: The crazier your engine, the more tweaking and maintenance required. Considering you are self-described as not knowing anything about upgrades, you are likely to spend a...

My 1972 Road Runner 340/4spd “Assembly Required”

That looks like a great start. For once, "the hard work (really) has been done"!

    Hello

Welcome. None of what you need is reproduced, and pretty much anything else you can think of is also non-supported by aftermarket. The very, very few things that are reproduced are garbage or incorrect... at least anything I have looked at or purchased. Try Big M in Williams CA which is a...

    Not for the purists

Looks like a fun project. Would love to see more info on 180 deg headers and suspension set up!

    Hello from Eastern Washington!

I believe all 72 SE's had a vinyl roof in order to cover up the side window plugs, and the 400/slapstick is very common engine and trans combination. I would not call myself an expert, but I think there must be something more to what Wayne meant. Good luck with your project.

Great find. Love it! K2 with the blacked hood is my favorite color combination. 383/4 speed manual everything .... perfection. I had one exactly like this in the early 80's without the fresh air. A convertible in these colors was on the cover of the Chilton's repair book back in the day. I...

    Accidental E-Bay purchase

You don't need EFI to fix vapor lock. A simple carb'd 318 will run forever and you can fix it blindfolded on the side of the road. Change to 2.76 gears for the highway, put a new timing chain in it, add a new aftermarket AC system (if you insist), and drive it coast to coast with no worries.

Greetings from Buffalo - 73 Charger 440 Magnum

I had a 74 440 car that was identical to your 73. If that is an original Rallye U code VIN car, it is fairly rare - around 700-something made. Lucky you!

    Start of a journey.

It will be a pleasure. Build sheet mix ups with 500's are common. I was even able to find the original engine to my 500 by sharing info with other 500 owners!
