Problem: installed new oil pump, started engine and had no oil pressure.
Solution: prime oil pump with assembly lube before installing new oil pump.
Lesson learned, dry oil pump will not draw oil from pan.
Phew. A big thanks to FBBO'rs for the insight on oil pump install. Was thinking the worse, spun bearing, dropped or blocked pick up, motor rebuild. Funny that Ma's repair/maintenance manual makes no mention of priming new pump. But it does make complete sense.

Same here. 45 years of doing my own oil changes. The problem I'm having is engine lost oil pressure, changed pump (440) and still no pressure. Reaching out for other ideas what causes pressure loss. I welcome ideas on making install is correct.

Rear quarter window regulator repair update.
Removed gear and crank assembly from the X arms, which left me only having to weld the factory pressed washer at the pivot spring seat. And then pressing a rivet that was saved and reused.
Good morning brothers and sisters. Has anyone tried making one good window regulator out of two not so good regulators? What I have is a rear quarter regulator for a 66 Satellite convertible, which is unique and difficult to find. The gear and teeth in the top pictured reg are in good shape...
After further investigation, pin that is loose seems to need 3 tabs to press fit pin to top assembly. I would guess locating this small part is about a bazillion:1?
Thanks for pointing that detail out. At a glance I thought the end caps were threaded.
What do you know about the pins that the piston hangs from. Pic shows pin closest to body shell backing out.
