    Yet Another Tire Fitment Thread!

I'm pulling the trigger on buying new Diamondback tires for my Magnum wheels this week. Before I make the final selection, I have a tire fitment question for the experts and opinionated here. Will 235/70R15s fit under the front end of a stock 69 GTX without rubbing or clearance issues?

    Diamondback Tires III's vs. SS

Getting ready to purchase some Diamondback tires to install on my new Magnum 500s. Wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether or not the DBIII's are better than the SS's? I have a set of the SS tires on my steel wheels now and have no real complaints. Just looking for some feedback on these...

    Tires

I have had BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs, Dick Cepek and Nittos on my Dodge trucks over the years. The best tire of that bunch was the BF Goodrich for ride quality, handling, road noise and tread life. I do like the Nittos though.

    Installing Hub Caps

I have decided to install the factory correct hub caps on my GTX. I’m wondering if there is a trick to installing them without beating the crap out of the painted wheel? I tried “popping” them on by hand and smacked on them a couple times with a mallet and decided to step back and ask for advice...

    Wheel Purchase - Opinions Needed

They are factory 15" wheels. I believe the factory wheels were 6" wide, but I'm not absolutely certain. Never did get around to buying the Magnums yet, so still rolling on the steel wheels. Probably be a purchase for next spring now. But will be holding on to the steelies for sure.

    Removing Pitting/Blemish from Hubcaps

Secondary question - are the letters on the hubcaps supposed to be painted black and not argent silver? The color in the letters looks darker than the paint along the outer edge of the caps.

    Removing Pitting/Blemish from Hubcaps

They are in fact painted argent silver in those recesses. I will work on them without trying to over do it. Thanks for all the feedback. I will in fact be at Carlisle so this will give me a reason to patrol through the swap meet area.

    Removing Pitting/Blemish from Hubcaps

I am considering installing these factory hubcaps on my steel wheels for my GTX. I have a complete set of four. Two of the caps are in excellent condition. But two of the caps (pic 2 and 3) have pitting or blemishes (or whatever that is) on them. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to...

    Mastercraft tires

I had a set of the Avenger GTs on my A-body and I thought they both looked and handled great for street use.

    Wheel Purchase - Opinions Needed

I am getting ready to purchase a set of Magnum wheels to have as an alternative to my steel wheels on my 69 GTX. I have read a lot of the threads here about wheel/tire combos already. I am leaning towards purchasing 15x7 wheels for all four corners. A second option would be 15x7 fronts and 15x8...

    Need recommendations for new tires

I like the Mastercraft Avenger GTs with the raised white letters, if you can find them. I had the exact size you reference on my 69 Dart. With regards to redlines, Diamondback is what the majority of people recommended to me for radial redlines. Installed them on the GTX and don't regret it.

    Got Some New Shoes Installed

I have to admit, I don't know the answer to this question. I just told them want I wanted - Redline Radials - and the specific style. In this case, I ordered their Diamondback SS tires. They are 15" tires (215/70R15).

    Got Some New Shoes Installed

On the recommendation of FBBO, I ordered a set of Diamondback SS Redline Radials for the GTX. Got them installed on the car this weekend. Not disappointed in that purchase for the purposes of looks. Now just need to get this thing tuned up to get on the road.

Largest Tire Size on Stock GTX

I'm sure this question, or one like it, has been asked many times. I'm getting ready to install the Diamondback Redlines on my GTX on the factory 15" steel wheels. However, I am also considering buying some different wheels to have as an alternative for the car (like Magnums or Torq Thrusts)...

    Tire Size Question

Decided to go with the 215/70-15s. Seemed like a safe play. Ordered a set from Diamondback this afternoon.

    Tire Size Question

I have to admit I don't know the width for certain. But they are the stock steel wheels. The car currently has F70-15 tires mounted up. From the looks of things, it has plenty of clearance in the wheel wells.

    Tire Size Question

I am ordering a set of redline radials to put on my GTX. Pretty sure the current Poly Glass tires on the car are not in good shape given the amount of vibrations while driving. The car has F70-15 tires on it which I believe equals about a 215/70R15 size. Is it possible to go up to a slightly...

    Recommendations for Red Line Radials

Well there seems to be a consensus here! Thanks for the feedback.

    Recommendations for Red Line Radials

I am finally about to take delivery of a 69 GTX. The car was put back together with the Good Year Ployglas Red Line Tires. I am considering swapping to Red Line radials. The look of the red lines fits perfectly with the car, but I would prefer something that handles a little better than the...

Wheel Questions - 69 Road Runner

So BBP but still have to deal with the reverse pattern. That's unfortunate.
