    What a mess - 67 bucket seat

This may sound like it's kind of hillbilly but I place 10 of those silica gell packs in a Tupperware container (no lid) under both the driver and passenger side of a bench seat. There are similar containers under the rear bench. Lived in the Houston (Humidity, Texas) area where black mold is a...

    Flexible Seal Suggestions ?

Thanks for the suggestions. I have an old shifter boot. I'll place it in there and see how I may be able to trim it to fit.

    Flexible Seal Suggestions ?

Hey all, During the mock-up of the steering shaft, I had to cut out some floorboard and firewall sheetmetal. This is on a 1940 Plymouth pickup with a 440 stuffed in where a flat head six used to reside. The engine is set back into the firewall 2.50 inches. Where the firewall and floorboard...

    Soak window regulators?

I used diesel on a pair of 80 year old regulators from a Plymouth pickup. It worked really well in getting the enclosed crank gears clean as diesel seems to suspend the dirt and sand. I let them soak for three days. My seat doesn't have tracks, but would assume diesel would work well at...

Has anyone here installed a set of bear claw latches ?

I don't see the need for the big heavy bracket when the latch can be mounted directly to door, and a notch cut for the post on the B pillar. I'm pretty sure there's enough space for the latch to fit between the inside surface of the door and the window channel. Have you got a pic of the post...

Has anyone here installed a set of bear claw latches ?

Not the originals. I do have the bear claws. These are the reinforcement plates. This is a similar kit:

Has anyone here installed a set of bear claw latches ?

I've been working on an older vehicle where replacement parts are non-existant. A 1940 Plymouth Pickup. Has anyone here installed a set of bear claw latches? I've browsed some hotrod sites and some of the methods they use seem to be a little a little bit of an overkill. I don't see the need...

69 Coronet bench seat + Arthritis options??

Sciatica is the problem I suffer from. This solution may not help in your situation. I had my seat upholstered in leather and I raised it up a couple inches with some aluminum blocks. The cloth upholstery restricts the ability to adjust your seating position. The added height takes pressure off...

has anyone bought these woodgrain dash pieces?

I made these myself using real wood. Not saying that's what's going to look right if you're trying to keep things original or factory in appearance. It's just an option. My build is old, completely custom, and these fit the "theme". But you might consider using wood if you want something different.
