For me 3m or seems 2 part sealer and spi epoxy works every time. I would dig that stuff out and replace it. Anything still soft will be a problem. 39377 sems can be topcoated in an hour, problem free.

It has nothing to do with stunning or not, just with your time line and color the base/clear will be a way easier match. I was not a fan of base /clear or the price, but had to change with the times.

Base clear with modern toners is the best for what you are doing and your time-line, if you want it to match later, the key is good prep and spend the big $$$$ on the clear coat. $600 a gallon minimum.

That will work, make sure you use a paint respirator, stuff will screw you up.

I would use epoxy on bare especially blasted metal, southern polyurethane is reasonable and gives you the protection you need.

Either way, ideally you could shim the roof with a cedar shim slightly, one area at a time to get a little in where the factory daubs are to restick those, then add a little more elsewhere. Nvh will not expand or shrink like some other adhesives so you are pretty safe no matter what you do.

The braces and skin should not actually touch 100%, the nvh fills the gap and stops the vibration/ print thru to the outer skin.
