Street on the convertible with the green bearings. Too low miles to tell on reliability?
My friends '68 Cuda has the green bearings too. We replaced them a few years ago. Originals were making noise because of the axle pre-load problem.
When we replaced them, we ground about 1 or 2 16ths off...
Likely brazed? Any good repair is going to require taking it apart, and cleaning it up really well before putting flux on it, re-assemble and braze or solder.
If you only need a temp fix, maybe clean it up and JB weld it.
I did the green bearings when I did the rear disc setup, and found the only reason to use the green bearings is so the axle stick out is consistent on each side.
The factory taper bearings could be used. Just have to set the end play, and then shim the caliper brackets correctly for the amount...
There is so much slop in the lower control arm (where it rotates for height adjustment) it can be pulled/pushed a bit without any additional pressure on the lower bushing. Only talking adding maybe 2-3 degrees caster, and assuming the upper bushing adjustments are maxed out for caster, the tire...
Strange the rear hoses have alot of movement?
I'm thinking the rear caliper piston seals are partly stuck, pulling the pistons too far back? (a design of the square cut piston seals)
you might have to temporarly increase the rear brake pressure, and pound the brakes hard to get the rear pistons...
I used my drill press as a makeshift milling machine with an end mill chucked in. set the table where the bit just cleared the drum, and then moved the stud around the milling bit to cut the swedging off. Took some time, but worked without hurting the drum. The studs could have been re-used...
For the '69 Coronet 500, I just bought the Mopar HD replacement leaf springs, and the rubber shackle bushings for $20
Mopar Performance P4452987 Mopar Performance Rear Spring Shackle Bushings | Summit Racing
The lead springs were a bit under $150 each.
My thoughts too, but I don't think you would notice a difference between the two bushings at just the rear shackle, and the silicone lube seems to work good.
Just tighten everything with the suspension loaded, not hanging.
Looks like the PST rear leaf spring bushings are $74 for both the front and rear spring bushings and the frame bushings, but no shackle plate or hardware.
It looks like the kit with the shackle plates and hardware is $239. That is $165 more for the shackle plates and hardware? Maybe they...
PST is a sponsor here. Look towards the lower part of the forums. I think they offer discounts too.
The PolyGraghite bushings have been around since the 1980's. I use them in my cars.
The Poly bushings are stiffer than rubber, More of a newer car feel than the old rubber bushings? They are...
I have the RCD Bilstein on the convertible and they have a nice ride.
I believe the PST Bilstein shocks are custom tuned by Race Car Dynamics of Arizona, Inc., hence the RCD Bilstein ?

The KYB Gas-A-Just shocks ae OK, but much stiffer riding.
I would sleeve the hole. Having a tube welded in would add strength and protect the lines better.
On my convertible with EFI, running the hard lines like original along inside of frame. Not racing, so don't need to have lines outside of bellhousing area.
If I was racing, I would likely just...
I prefer the sstubes (Fine Lines). I haven't had problems with them and they fit great.
The Right Stuff stainless lines are a bear to get to seal. Had to get a break line hone tool to get them to seal.
It is an inexpensive kit, and fairly generic with not very good instructions.
On the other hand the brakes fit inside my 15" rims.
The rear Disc conversion, you need to weld brake hose tabs to the axle, and modify the rear axle hard lines.
The Emergency brake cable attachment is about 2" further...
