    Electrical help please

What happened? If something was shorted, the fusible link should have burnt before the wiring?

    Electrical help please

If you want a heavy duty adjustable voltage regulator Transpo C8313: Transpo Heavy Duty Adjustable Voltage Regulator C8313 - for sale online | eBay There is an adjustment on the back that allows you to adjust the regulated voltage. I have one on the '71 Charger regulating a 132 Amp Denso...

    Electrical help please

I like the license plates too! The stock early type regulator in the photo of post #20. When the ignition power is on the green wire from the regulator to alternator should have voltage on it (to energize the alternator field so it makes power when the alternator turns.) With that setup the...

    Electrical help please

If you have the older pre 1970 regulator or the round back alternator, you need to ground the other field on the squaer back alternator. If using the 1970-up electronic regulator, the ignition power (blue) goes to a field, and the green wire that goes to the voltage regulator goes to the other...

Any recommendations on header back exhaust systems?

The TTI tubes are pretty good. Mandrel bends and a decent, fit in general. Not exactly a straight bolt on with my cars, usually took some triming and adjustment to get the fit I wanted, but most of my cars are not using the TTI headers. On the '71 Charger, have the TTI 3" H-Pipe exhaust, and...

Anybody use Moroso 62192 degree wheel

If your really board with this COVID-19, you can profile the cam taking measurements every crank degree. Enter into spreadsheet and align the same lifts on opening and closing, and see how Intake centerline varies slightly depending on where the measurements are taken on the lobe.

Anybody use Moroso 62192 degree wheel

Larger is easier to read / split degrees, and good if engine is on engine stand. If swapping cams in the car, need the smaller diameter to clear the k-member / frame, and such. Be careful handling and storing degree wheel so they stay flat. If they wobble it makes it hard to read also. Simple...

    19 Spline 727

Two ways to convert to 24 spline. Either using '67-70 pump stator support and narrow band drum, or '71-up pump stator support and wide band drum. You would think that just the input shaft needs to be changed, but the 24 spline input shaft is slightly larger in diameter where it seals in the...

    19 Spline 727

No way to tell for sure without removing the transmission, but if it has a smaller than stock Hi-Stall converter, it likely is not a 19-Spline input.

    power window switch

Those switches are a bit different than the '69 switch. Not sure if they snap in/out of the bracket. Found these photos on e-bay...

    power window switch

If it is like the ones in my '69 Coronet, the door panel has a switch holder case/bracket thing that attaches to the door panel that has four posts extending from the sides, and then the switch has spring clips that clip into the bracket. You can just pry between the switch and bracket to pop...

    Carb frustration

I like the insulator gasket kits, as I usually need new hardware too. I also like the bolt hole inserts that limit how much you can snug down the carb stud nuts. I have never warped or damaged a base plate with those gaskets (but I never tried to either.)

    Carb frustration

I use the thick heat insulator style carb gasket with hardware kit. Example (0.320" thick): https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-9265/overview/

Loss of power and higher rates of speed

If you still have problems, inspect the rubber fuel lines at on the suction side of the fuel pump (gas tank to hardline, and hardline to pump.) I had a fuel delivery issue that drove me crazy. I never did see a fuel leak, but the fuel line at the gas tank had a split that was allowing the pump...
