    Bending diecast is a crapshoot. I used to straighten Holley 2245 2 Bbl. airhorns in a press as the warpage caused by over tightening the air cleaner wing nut would screw up the gasket seal.     The white foam (comes in sheet form) that is used for shipping is pretty good for that use. It is similar to the OEM seal between the steering column floor plate and firewall. Mike

    I just had a local sheet metal shop roll my chosen radius in my choice of metal gauge with extra hanging down to account for floor irregularities, trimmed in place after tack welding. Mike

    Correctly, it should be heli coil repaired. If it is accessible it could be drilled oversize for a 3/8' cap screw (last resort). Or a longer 5/16" cap screw with a nut could be used. Mike
