Choose which ever color you want it to be. If you like B5 better, make it B5. Nobody will ever be able to tell what it was when it was new, without the fender tag. Your car, make it how you want it.
I assumed that meant that they mixed the paint, just like what you would do to spray it out of a gun, only put it in a spray can. He said he wanted get it done and move on.,so it sounded like a great way to do just that.
I vote for the 19" Flex fan, as long as it fits in your shroud opening. The nylon fan looks cool, and probably works good, but doesn't look right. I might try it on a race car, but not on a Mopar. We all know the "good old" Flex fan works good. It looks about like what I have on my car.
It sounds like you need to move more air when you are standing still. I would try a different fan blade set up. You said Derale fan, but there is different ones. The ones with the rigid tapered fins didn't seem to work as well as the flex fan, for me. Big difference. The scoop wont do much good...
Thermostat, radiator and shroud. Something not functioning correctly. Flex fan or fan clutch maybe. A hole in the hood isn't going to make a difference.
You can't "UN-CUT" it. Does it overheat or vapor lock? Go with the fiberglass and save that beautiful hood to put back on there when you are done with it. That is a $10,000 hood, not to mention the value that it adds to the car. No harm no foul... if you don't cut it, somebody can always put it...
Sand the black areas lightly with some 1000, polish the shiny parts with a cotton wheel and rouge , Wipe the whole thing down with laquer thinner, Tape off the shiny parts and the decal, and paint it black. Peal the tape off and install. Good tape, and razor blades help alot.
