    Who here remembers doing this?

Yes I remember those very well along with washing windshields and carrying the metal coin changer on my belt and a roll of bills in my shirt pocket. Back when Arco was Atlantic Richfield and the average price was around 32 cents per gallon. I already had Mopar - itis really bad and it's still...

    Dash Cams

I have dash cams in my Charger, my Hearse and my daily driver Camry. People are so out of control on the roads it’s insane. I drive a big rig for work and run all around the greater Seattle metropolitan area as well as Tacoma and Everett. My employer finally took my strong suggestion to put...

My grand daughter’s 3rd birthday today, lots of fun

She is so full of energy and my daughter in law has a work from home job so that really helps. Weather is decent and I drove the Charger and it was fun to see all the smiles. You have to get the little ones started early and she really likes my green car. Who knows maybe one day she’ll have...

What causes water leakage under the dash?

I don’t know if this helps but on my 74 Charger the drivers side leaked and puddled up on the floor. When I had a new windshield installed, there was a rust hole that was below the windshield gasket area that was causing the leak. The installer sealed it with the windshield goop and no more...

Who is NOT eating turkey on Thanksgiving?

We are having prime rib and I know where the potatoes came from because that’s what I did this morning. And of course there’s pumpkin and apple and pecan pie and other fixin’s.

Do your cars have a names?

Most of my vehicles have had names. Jessica, Violet, Lady Boz, Uncle Mel, Louise, Lady finger, Butterkup, Lady Vee and plenty more. Vehicles are similar to people in that each has its own unique characteristics and personality. Just my opinion and experience and that’s all.

60 years of wrenching doesn't a mechanic make...

Run the wipers up to mid point, shut key off and lift the arm and at the bottom there is a little spring loaded latch you have to pull out to release the arm from the spline and it pops off. That little lever snaps back. A small pick works well if you have one with the angled tip and hold the...

I feel a story coming on...

Today’s my last vacation day for now, back to the grind tomorrow morning. Things are looking up though because I am going to drive the Charger to work and put some miles on it.

All original 73 dodge charger restoration ideas

The 3rd gen Charger has really nice lines and you can explore ways to show the difference in the body’s coke bottle shape. I decided to use vinyl wrap on mine and tried to make the flow of the body more distinct. Enjoy the journey and remember it’s yours to build any way you want as long as...

71/72 EFI gas tanks work on a 73?

The tanks are the same dimensions but the tank straps are different. I put an Aeromotive efi tank in my 74 that had the hump and it was a decent fit. Filler neck is the same but getting a good fitting gasket is important. I reused the original straps.

What's the best state to find/buy a classic car?

I think it’s all about finding a car that’s for sale starting reasonably close and see what’s out there. If you don’t find anything that rings your bell, then broaden your search staying away from obvious rust areas but still within your travel plans. If you find a possibility then check it...
