I run Cooper Cobra tires 255/70/15 all around on my 3rd gen Charger on A/R 15x8 and still have room. I went with 70 series to get a taller tire to help fill out the opening. Makes a great footprint and these tires handle wet roads really nice.
Just my opinion and experience and that’s all...
The last time I had a Firestone tire on one of my cars was 1977 and that one literally went up in flames. Bridgestone is also part of Firestone as well so I will not knowingly purchase any tires made by these clowns. Just my opinion and personal experience and that’s all.

Black side out for me, and Cooper Cobra tires are really solid and shed water very well in my opinion.

 :luvplace: :steering:
The 3rd gen Chargers have large wheel openings and for me this really fills that up and rotating tires is a must for me as well. This car has a real good foot print and handles nicely. The tires are wide enough but don’t get the wear problems associated with the super wide low profile tires...
A/R Polished 15 x 8 with 255/70R15 all the way around on the Charger. A/R Polished 16 x 7 with 225/60R/16 all around on the Sport Fury.

Interesting! Looks like the tires are going downhill so maybe we can put our collective ingenuity together here and create some type of gel or coating that would magically keep our tires in a constant state of Brand Spanking Knew......never need to buy tires again......hhmmmmm. Any ideas...
Just my experience and others maybe, dents in a steel wheel “generally speaking “ are going to cause balancing issues with the wheel. I still really like the magnum 500 wheel but too much imitation for me. Again this is just my opinion and that’s all.:lol:
The front tires are close at full lock but not touching. That’s part of the reason for 70 series not 60 . The ride height on my cars is where I prefer it and the car’s handle and brake really good for my wife and I.
The Charger was even higher in the front with the 318 in it. Each of us has...
I would not put Firestone tires on my lawnmower, let alone any vehicle I owned. Just my opinion after a tire fire many years ago in 1977! Yes 1977....:elmer::lol:
I will just put my solution to the tire dilemma here and this is just my opinion and not anything more. The 3rd gen Charger have fairly large wheel openings and I like to run the same size tires on all 4 corners for rotating and to improve handling. I prefer taller sidewalls and a good width...
I am now running Cooper Cobra and these tires feel really good and living here in Washington State it tends to rain often. One of my personal must have for tires is wet weather performance and the Cooper tire has exceeded my expectations.
I have 255/70R/15 all around on A/R 15x8 polished...
