I cut out the pot metal section off of the original gauge and trimmed it to fit and also ran ground wire for the wiper switch and it looks reasonable and works great. They are snug and don’t turn in the hole when you use them.
255/70/R15 on 15x8 on all 4 corners. No rubbing and room for more if I choose. I have always run the same size all around and it’s a matter of preference.
The switch should ground through the dash, but there could be some contamination that interferes. I had a similar issue and ran a separate ground wire to the switch and everything worked perfectly. The wiper motor is grounded on the firewall with a wire but the switch depends on the dash frame.
I posted a picture of the “correct “ low profile wiper blades on my earlier post. Those are from Dante’s website and they work perfectly and there’s plenty of room under the hood when they are parked. I think they were around $50.00 for the pair.
Complete with blades installed. Hope this helps.
There is a small spring clip at the base of the wiper arm that locks the wiper arm on the spline. Flip the arm over and you will see the clip. The tracking rod for the drivers side goes on a small pin next to the spline and keeps the arm on the glass.
I played with the wiper arms after doing...
I had wiper issues for a number of years until I finally decided to dig in. The parking problem on my car was a plastic bushing on the driver’s side pivot that moves both wipers. The arm from the motor was literally just sitting on the post. Wipers parked above the hood but you could push them...
I will just say that the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Charger each stand alone for their styling. As for blending them together that’s really hard. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
You are correct and I realized that after posting the picture. I don’t have any pictures on my iPad for that piece. Please disregard my previous message.
I hope this picture helps. This is the spring loaded plastic wedge that helps the hood lay along the inner fender. I have cleaned and lightly lubed both sides and it helps. This is the only picture that I could find that shows this part.
Check the structure under the skin and if that appears good then it’s a matter of finding the right balance between the hinges and the middle part of the hood to lay flat along the fender. Really long and heavy hood with short attachments on the top of the hinge. Mine has been a constant...
NOS is right there with NUMBERS MATCHING when some people are trying to sell parts and it’s sometimes painfully obvious when they open their mouth. I just walk away and laugh.
These projector led lights are definitely a very good improvement in overall lighting. The cut off line is clear and the width of the coverage is enough to see across 4 lanes without blinding anyone.
My 2017 Camry has projector lights and I swapped in led bulbs and the chased down some for the...
She is affectionately known as “Lady V”. The V is for Violet. My wife named her and it has stuck. 400 b and revised 727 with 3:55 posi in back. Nothing else handles quite like this Charger in my humble opinion and experience.
They interchange without much trouble as I have the early grille on mine and also still have the 74 grille in case I change my mind again. I don’t really care for the 74 grille.
Sounds like you have some knowledgeable people locally to help you out. Please keep us posted on your progress and maybe post some pictures when you have time.
Truly sorry for your loss. Lots of people here to help you with your build. We also really like pictures along the way. I have a soft spot for 3rd gen Chargers.
