Poly stroker fresh build mileage query

I've got a 354 stroker poly with virtually the same camshaft (Schneider 264F Solid Lifter). Also have a stock converter 727, 3.23 rear, 10.8:1 compression and cruise about 3,000 rpm, 4 barrel Holley 600 vac sec, now 650 AVS2. I'm getting about 13.5 litres/100km on a cruise, whether Holley or...

Another stupid "What's it worth" post

Has it sat outside for the last 25 years - in the location in the photo? All those twigs and leaves sitting on the cowl concern me. $5k if it's solid everywhere apart from the floors. $1,500 if it's rusty everywhere.

    Gas mileage

13 around town. 18-20 on a long run. 3.23 rear, auto, 318 poly, 600 vac sec Holley. Now it's a stroker it's running pretty much the same mpg (same carb, rear end etc).

where to sell 64 Bel more door car?

Unfortunately the market will dictate the price, not the seller. Keep trying to sell it here, Facebook etc, dropping the price $100/week. Eventually it will sell. If the price drops to a level you aren't comfortable with, then take it off the market and have a re-think. Maybe worth spending a...

    Tangent on a motor...

A small block in a B Body cruiser is just fine. A hot small block in a B body streetcar might also be fine, depending on how fast you want to go.

Photos of 1965 Plymouth Satellite 2 door Coupes

What's the difference between the Hardtop and the Coupe? I thought the hardtop had the more upright, square-ish C pillar, or is that the 2 door sedan?

Photos of 1965 Plymouth Satellite 2 door Coupes

Do you have it for sale on a website? I'm not intending to buy a car right now (too much uncertainty with work), but in 6 months or so I might be. It would be nice to see more pictures and it's the right spec.

Photos of 1965 Plymouth Satellite 2 door Coupes

Hi all, I have a 66 Satellite and have recently developed a real fondness for the 1965 model, especially the 2 door coupe (and the Dodge equivalent). I'm even considering buying one (once things return to normal). Can I ask anyone that owns one if they could post up some pictures? I've been...

    How fat is my Fury?

I just drove to my local tip which has the weighbridge outside the office window with an external digital display. I drove up, asked them some information about tip fees, and drove off. The car weighed 3,564 lbs, 1966 Satellite, 318 poly, 727, full street trim incl spare and jack, full sound...

    1965 Satellite

$5k sounds reasonable to me and if you like the car then go for it. The interior is always easier and way cheaper to fix than the metalwork. I'm no expert on the transmissions but I'd say you'd need a 727 as I don't think any big blocks were fitted with the 904.

    63 polara 440 with 318 poly

Mate, if you're using your car as a street cruiser and not a drag car then the 318 poly will serve you well. You don't need a big block! As you know the speed limits here are pretty low, so for the street you just need a nice sounding engine with plenty of low down torque. Gary supplied me with...
