NO more Doug's here. Installed a set last summer. Fit not so bad but flanges were not true, had to grind to get flat, also the welds at flanges were terrible.
What engine & how much horsepower do you have? I had a 3:23 open rear end and recently installed an Eaton Tru Trac with 3:55 gears I have a 383/727 combo. the 8 3/4 will withstand lots more than 400 HP from what I have experienced in the past.
I have 225/70/15 cobras on 7" rim. Have to let air out to clear brake drum/fenderwell lip. I think each individual car has different clearance from side to side.
