Thank you. The '71 Satellite was one of my favorites, behind the '70 Cuda & '65 Ply post. Good luck with the project.

A really dumb question, what year is that car? My memory is fading. It sure looks like a real good project.

You might give some thought to a motor plate.

It doesn't need much. Just a nice coating on the lopes & lifters, and a dab on the pushrods.

Pretty sure that will be good for at least a couple of cams. Assembly lube is available everywhere, many brands.

Back to the headers. A fairly mild 440 will be very happy with 1 7/8" tubes. A more race 440 will want 2" tubes. My TTI 2" fit very well in my '66 Satellite. I've read that Doug's do well also. Good luck.

Cheap, you will be very safe with a 1 7/8 tube. A 2 inch will also work well.

Ya, the blocked or disconnected end carbs was a mileage thing. Don't know how that actually worked. But we can correct that.

The 4.2 lever is a good choice. If your guy knows his stuff, go with it.

I typically use either 10 or 12. Seldom used the 15. 12 is a good safe combo. Not sure what the TF 2 wants.

That kit sure looks like a center carb style kit. Like I've said not the 6 Pak kit. Edit: that kit won't have the parts you need for the end carbs.

Back in the day, was able to get the Holley 6 Pak kits. They had the different versions of the end carb meter plate gaskets. The meter plates were a separate purchase. I was lucky to have a Holley distributor warehouse about 20 miles away and had any part I wanted. The Holley 2300 kit that I...

No idea why. But I know both the OEM A-12 manifold and EDE aftermarket version had casting numbers. I had both. Back in the day, I ground a lot of stuff off, but never off the intake.

So apparently some one ground off the numbers. My set off '70 carbs worked the best. Not sure why.

If the manifold is aluminum, it's either an original A12 or the EDE CH6. A very good manifold. The meter plates appear to be the '69 1/2, the '70 & later plates have different shape.

The 6 Pak diaphragms are NOT the same as the 4 BBL carbs. Very different.

It's been a long time, but Holley kit I got was excellent. It even included the parts for the '69 1/2 carbs and the '70-71. Not sure what the current kit is. Not sure why you would need two kits, but again mine was a long time ago. My recent experience with Holley kits is they still are good...

The '69 style 6Pak cars did not use a return line or vapor separator as I recall. May be wrong, but don't think so. As I recall the emission stuff didn't really get used until '71.

Each of my 6 Pak's got #6 Aeroquip to the fuel bowl with a large 3 port fuel block, 1/2" line from the electric fuel pump/trunk to the firewall. Large fuel bowl fittings.

You have a great car there. You are doing amazing work on it. As I've said on the other thread, that 727 sure needs serious work. Keep it up! I'm a guy that did the mechanical stuff, trans, motors, rear axles. But guys that did body work were always amazing to me. Go!!
