Thanks for the suggestion, I searched the site and didn't find anything. I did find the bottom one at Mr. Moparts. Looking for the "S" shaped one, not sure where it goes in the windshield frame either. I should have taken more pictures during disassembly!.
I'm gathering the trim clips for a 66 Satellite convertible windshield. I've already bought the clips that are mounted in the bottom frame to hold the glass.
I need information on the clips in the picture. I have 3 of the top pictured clips and 2 of the bottom clips. I'm not sure how many of...
Bill Monk-In the drawing with the measurements, is the repop weatherstrip cut at the 25" mark or is that how the original ones came. In Moparmaniacs picture you can see a seam at what looks like that 25" mark. The repop weatherstrip doesn't have a seam and runs continually from end to end. I...
I'm ready to install the trunk weather seal but I'm not sure which way it goes in. Which picture is correct with the installation? Or are the pictures wrong too. Thank for the help.
Fran Blacker, I have a good emblem that I bought several years ago and held on to awaiting a new paintjob. Now's the time to pull it out and install it on the trunk, finally!
I replaced my trunk lid with another one and after it was painted I was going to mount the Satellite badge that sits above the trunk panel and realized the trunk lid didn't have holes for the badge.
I'm hoping someone with a 66 Satellite can measure the placement of the badge. How far from the...
Every now and then the stars align. The trunk lids are the same and I was able to sell my old trunk lid to a guy who's been search for one for a long time.
I'm selling my old trunk lid (slightly dented) from my convertible Satellite and I suddenly got concerned about my replacement trunk lid that's at the painters.
Are the trunk lids on a convertible and a hardtop the same size?
If someone in FBBO land has a hard top 66 Satty, could you post...
Derwud- There's a guy that sells license plates and frames at the Pomona Auto Swap Meet. If you ever go there you might have some luck with the frames you're looking for. I found one for a dealership in Inglewood that I was looking for.
I've been unable to find previous questions about window fuzzies/sweeps. I'm wondering if anyone has been able to locate a source for quality window fuzzies with the chrome strip that was used on '66 Satellites/Belvederes, specifically a convertible. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks for all the feedback, I stripped the anodizing off the headlight bezels with "Easy Off", it really worked great. If you do it make sure you wear eye protection and mask, that stuff is pretty foul, I got a quick whiff of it and instantly started coughing, it's nothing to mess around with...
I'm wondering if B-bodies are consistent with what parts are aluminum and what parts are stainless. What is an easy way to tell if a part is aluminum or stainless?
I'm looking to de-anodize parts so they can be polished and I'm looking to figure out what the different trims are made of.
