Glad you had good experiences - myself and quite a few buddies noticed a discernible difference in quality of their batteries since that move - we all went a different direction.

I would stay away from Optima in my opinion. I used to use them years ago when they were more reliable. Back around 2010 or so they moved their plants to Mexico - quality hasn't been the same since. Sad because they were the best back in the early 2000s! There are some decent 27s at Sams...

Thanks Jerry - just as easy as connecting into a wire at that spot I presume. When I get to the bulk head inside the car - best to splice into the orange - or is it Red? Ignition wire for the gauge power or add to the backside here? No open spots. Wiring is not my forte - ha. Thanks!

Cleaned the entire fuse box. Removed old buss fuses and clamped the ends of the tabs together to make them tighter. Added all new fuses and so far so good. Dome light comes on when door is open - and is fully lit not partially. Headlights turn on and gauge light turns on. Thanks everyone! Now...

I cleaned the block and fuses - seems the fuse for the dome light seats in the clips but is still loose - loose enough to have intermittent contact.

Also at times - the dome light will work, but as soon as I turn the headlights on dome light goes off and so does the light on my water temp gauge. Just seems odd.

What’s the best thing to use to clean inside where the buss fuses go? Good ol steel wool? I dabbed some die-electric grease on the top side connections but that’s it. Thanks guys!!

Hey guys - have an intermittent electrical issue. If the fuse block wiggles - sometime dome light/instrument panel works - then sometimes it doesn’t. Buss fuses all look good - but connections seem to have some corrosion. Any help would be appreciated - electrical is not my strong area for sure...

Just need to watch the omhs I believe with the stock ballast on a points setup and a new coil.
