Well I’ve bought my last WIX filter. Changed oil in 2016 chrysler 300 3.6L. Filter made in china. And I was dumb enough to wait 12 hrs because Oreillys didn’t have one in stock.
The lifters are supposed to always be pushing the camshaft towards the rear of the engine. So if the lifters are sitting on the correct position on the cam with the upper cam sprocket also riding against the block you should not have to be concerned with any forward motion.
While I agree flat tappet cams days maybe numbered. I disagree that I could retrofit a roller for the same price. Cam core is more $, lifters more $, distrubutor drive gear change and wear issues there, cam buttons, timing set cover, thrust bearings, different push rods, then your getting into...
I lean towards, compatible with increasing they profit margins.
I dont even really believe in diesel anti-gel treatments. How can a few ounces of something effect 30 gallons.
I believe in #1 diesel when cold and cut that with kerosene when just plain frigid.

My labor can’t be done in China for pennies on the dollar. But by making products overseas by labor that isn’t paid a decent wage. And it leaves American’s sitting on the unemployment line or working for less than a living wage, just to to able to compete and have a job. I do my best to support...
Its not that I don’t believe there isnt any quality in them.
I just feel that being a lineman they can’t outsource my job to China, so in return I try to not support products where labor was outsourced.
Ill throw in my 2 cents. With open chamber heads and pistons without quench pads I believe 9.5-1 is a better CR. I believe you need a tight quench to run 10-1 or higher. While on the dyno and you do find it to actually be pinging. Might try retarding camshaft a few degrees.
Personally I think its being over cautious to pre oil. Fill oil filter and fire it up. But I got less $ in my entire car then you probably have in engine.
