Just did this last wknd. I put 3 gals in the tank, then primed the carb. That bought me enough time for the pump to work on its own while the car ran on the carb prime/bowl. With that much gas in the tank, the gauge showed almost 1/8" of a tank.
Another vote for @Woodruff Carbs Just did mine a few months ago. Great guy and when I had questions he called me back and made sure I had what I needed.
Looking for tips on the easiest way to prime a Carter carb on a hemi? I'm getting ready to fire the motor up for the first time after a rebuild. Thinking I should fill it through the vent tubes? Anybody else have easier or better way?
