When labor rates are pushin $100+ @ hour, may be worse in the bay area, all I can say is good luck with that. They're plenty of folks in the hood here on the board that I'm sure would love to help you out. I just don't trust shops anymore, sorry.

I'm not familiar with the 1806, but folks used to slap on a set of headers and a 750 cfm carb and go to the track and clean house. Recurve your dist. and that will open things up too. Good Luck
