    Pinion angle and driveshaft

Thank you, I agree my phone wasn't quite right I just used it to double check I had the angles correct. The degrees I provided were with my angle finder. I agree it would have been ideal to do all this before but I purchased the rear already built which makes me wonder if they could have welded...

    Pinion angle and driveshaft

Okay I am still confused. I used both an app on my phone as well as an angle finding device. They were marginally different. I came up with the ground sloped .4 degrees down front to rear. Measuring off the yoke on the rear it point up +5.5 degrees and the trans slopes down -2.0 degrees. Which...

    Pinion angle and driveshaft

Hi, I have a couple questions for you all. First I'm getting a driveshaft built so I am taking measurements on my 69' satellite 440/727 Dana 60. I also am trying to figure out the pinion angle of the rear and trans. I was told to get the angles correct before measuring so that you can get the...

Need help with my 440 motor

Tell us a little about the build? If possible a video may be worth a million words. Could you explain the sound it's making better? I'm not sure what you mean by it sounding like a diesel.

    Trans line fittings

Thanks I have the slip on for a hose but the ends of my new lines have a thread female end on them for like an AN-4... But in my mind the line will need to flex/twist which it won't if both ends are ridgid.

    Trans line fittings

I was wondering what fittings are needed for the trans lines? I pulled two off my old transmission but the previous owner cut the end off and put rubber hoses on the radiator side. But that has me wondering do I need to do that to these lines since the trans will twist some? The lines are...

    Radiator transmission fitting

They look kind of like a drill bit. It just swirls the opposite direction. You should be able to find them at most hardware or parts stores. What you would do is sit it over the hole and tap it in with a hammer til its firmly inside then use a wrench or vise grip it should come out with the rest...

    Radiator transmission fitting

Easy out. If you don't have one you MIGHT be able to tap a screw driver inside and twist it out.

Here's how we did it in the old mini van! It actually worked perfect with the seats out ran the straps through the anchors. Lol

    block transport

I like using a wooden pallet with the center cut out (for the oil pan). Strap the engine down it won't move.

    Looking for 383 build ideas

440 won't take as much work to get there but it will be more thirsty! I'd take a look at the Racing forum on here and look at the 12 second combo thread. Here's the link http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?25225-Post-your-12-second-combos
