    Street/strip shocks for SS springs

Ok thanks I spent a little time looking last night the qa1 are nice a little more than I was hoping to spend but if they work it's not like I'll have to buy something down the road. I also see a lot of people like the rancho with the ss springs but can't find them for sale anywhere.

    Street/strip shocks for SS springs

Maybe a stupid question but is there a good way to measure? Do you just lift the body til the wheels start to lift off the ground?

    Street/strip shocks for SS springs

Ok yeah I assumed it had to do with the fact that the springs raised the rear more than regular springs.

    Street/strip shocks for SS springs

I'll have to check them out. With super stock springs I need 24" fully extended correct?

    Street/strip shocks for SS springs

Yes sorry it will be raced quite often. More so a race car but I do have a few windy roads near my house. It's a 440 stroker, reverse Vb 727 and Dana 60

    Street/strip shocks for SS springs

Wondering what you guys recommend for rear shocks. I seen some of ya'll just use ram shocks and c body shocks as well as the obvious racing adjustable shocks. Will I benefit using an adjustable shock?

    custom rear brake line

I have a dana 60 out of an old ford 3/4 ton. I'm trying to determine how to run brake lines. The original vent is on the passenger side. Do I tap a new one on the right side or run a line over there and T it from there? or does the T really need bolted in? opinions?

    what rear suspension for Street/strip

Thanks Fran, That is where I was looking at them. And Caltracs straight from Calvert.com. Any idea if Caltracs are legal to use for nostalgic races? That is one requirement I would like to race in our local NDRA but don't see anything saying you can't run them.

    what rear suspension for Street/strip

Somewhere around 626hp/640tq. I removed the original 318 springs they were worn out. I would like to be consistent and get the front tires off the ground a little (which I realize has to do with the entire setup). I priced the Caltracs roughly 760 bucks without shocks and the superstocks were a...

    what rear suspension for Street/strip

Wondering what your opinions are on rear suspension setup on a street strip car. I like the Super stock springs as well as caltrac setup with mono leafs for adjustable. Caltracs aren't a whole lot more when you factor in new front hangers and all for super stocks. I just don't have a clue on...

    Rear suspension for street/strip

Anyone else? Still don't have a clue but leaning towards mono leafs or SS springs. Did you have to modify the center bolt? "Due to the nature of these springs, requires center bolt modifications & grinding to fit."

    Rear suspension for street/strip

Thanks Mike, I was leaning towards the mono leafs with the +1 inch ride height. from what I researched a lot of guys like them for the weight savings but couldn't find much else about them.

    Rear suspension for street/strip

What kind of leaf spring setup seems to work best on a street/strip car? My dana doesn't have a way to mount a snubber so I was looking into something like Cal tracks and mono leaf or superstock leafs but I have no idea. Looking for something that will put the power to the ground, won't ride...

    Opinions needed on brake options

Obviously power disc will stop better but from a visual aspect I can't stand the booster. But that's just me. I am planning on upgrading from manual drums, which I never had a problem with to manual disc just to be safe with the idiots down here in Tennessee who like to pull out into the fast...

    front disc brake upgrade

I've been looking around as well so I'm interested to see what some of the other mention. I looked at a few of the cheaper options like right stuff but heard some bad reviews about figment. I spoke to DR DIFF told him what I had and what I was doing he sent me a list of what I needed off his...

    Wheel Controversy

I am one of the young guys (20) who doesn't like big rims. I wouldn't go larger then 15" on mine and thats because I like to see a little shiny circle surrounded with a lot of rubber. I put my dad's 17" rims on my car to see how they looked and it was too much for me. This is only on classics I...

    AIR Shocks ???

I don't think it's too bad. Then again i'm only 19 so i don't really pay attention to how it rides as long as it looks and runs good haha. I have no problem pushing down ether side a few inches.

    AIR Shocks ???

It sounds like alot but mine are rated for 250psi max IIRC. At 125 they compress pretty well still.
