Hmm not sure what brand starter mine is but the cable post are on the top of mine. I'm sure someone might have a better idea or possibly give Dougs headers a call and ask what they know works. Mines a 440 with 2" primary Doug headers and I didn't have to do anything to the headers.
You're not that young, there's a few of us that have you beat (24). lol
If you are set on a six pack car or six barrel (as Plymouth calls it) I would definitely look for a numbers matching car. Otherwise you might as well look at bee's and roadrunners that originally had 383's and are now...
I agree, I much rather see dirty wheels and nicks in the paint than a 100 point car. They were built to drive and should be, not locked up... One of the guys at a local show always drives his hemi Daytona or 69 convt. Hemi roadrunner to the show rain or shine and isn't afraid to burn rubber in them.
I know exactly how to solve your problem. What you do is paint it red with black, then buy another one and paint it black/black. There you go problem solved! lol
All kidding aside have you considered plum crazy?
This just scares me, I bought my windshield last year for $185 then found out that it was impossible to find a gasket at the time... So it's been sitting in the shed waiting for me to finally tackle it.. Now after hearing of all these windshields breaking idk if I want to deal with it...
I forget the name but someone on here has a silver 68? with one.

I've seen that listing here in Jersey I don't remember if it was in NY or down here but ether way I think that guy would be better off selling it then trying to lose money.
I love my 318, I would keep it in my car if it ran as fast as I want it to :D I must say I beat some cars at the track with it, I think my best time was 14.7 with 2.73 gears non posi, It may be faster because I was running too rich and the valves were tapping...
Me and my dad did my car back in April/May. We sprayed it in a garage that was really hot so the paint dried too fast and didn't lay very well. It came out satin and i thought it was fine, But we cleared it again in July and it looks great now i forgot how nice it was to have a badass gloss that...
Yea found out about this gasket yesterday when i took my car down to get the windshield replaced only to find out that it needed this gasket... I paid $169 for the windshield and thats the rate for the rubber? great... Btw how hard is it to replace a windshield at home?
