A Daytona always needs a big block IMHO. Even if I owned an X NASCAR stock car it would have to be a big block. However. I am not a show poodle, trailer queen, numbers correct kind of guy.
Very cool find. I would give it some sort of 70's physecodelic paint job or NASCAR themed paint job. Way too many stock looking restored cars out there already no matter how cool they look. I like to be different.
Check the local C.L. The Chevy weenies do not know of this trick of using a Vega hatch. I picked one up for $35.00 for a complete hatch assembly. Once they find out there will be the usual Mopar mark up on price....
I love them both. Just could never afford one. I prefer the Daytona. I like the different body to wing/stripe combos available. The birds all look the same in the few colors. I was never a big fan of the big Plymouth on the quarters either.
Cool car. Cool story. Who cares whatever anyone else thinks or types. It's your car, build it your way. The next guy will change whatever he wants to change it to his way anyway.
That is for sure the best **** I have ever watched. Thanks for all of the pictures guys. Some of us still like to fantasy about owning a Daytona someday. I have a few pictures saved.
Wow! $400.00 is the going rate for these now? I paid $35.00 for my Vega rear hatch assembly of off c.l. The local Chevy weenies do not know us Mopar guys use these rear window hatch assemblies on the Daytona/C500 clones.
