Yeah I didn’t calibrate mine and it works great, maybe it could work better???Now you got me wanting to go back and calibrate mine anyways for the heck of it.
I’m assuming this is only for the control knobs. I didn’t program anything for my 70 Charger and it works perfect. Whatever you guys decide to do, y’all are doing a good job. We can all agree to disagree but I’m sure the end product will be nice and everybody that’s involved will be happy.
Me personally I don’t know why you wouldn’t mount your drier on the rad support just like Vintage shows. There’s nothing wrong with making it your own but IMO it’s just an all around cleaner look.
Here’s the only pic I could muster up of mine. I still plan on doing some adjustments on shortening up some of the lines and changing the clamps out on the heater hoses.
It’s your guys call but if you’re going to run the heater hoses through the wheel well anyways why not just put the valve there also? I put mine exactly where the Vintage directions said to and ran that wire along with the AC compressor wire with the heater hoses and through the grommets in the...
That’s what I thought about doing with my Charger to begin with but those 2 heater holes I used them for all my routing of my sniper and that’s where I ran my AC harness so I didn’t think about it anymore and plus for me it was a cleaner look but just like I replied to Kern that’s what I’m going...
The 69 non air RR I’m close to buying would use the same Vintage air kit as my Charger. If I’d put AC in the car I’m thinking about trying to keep the original heater hoses in the same location if I can. I haven’t been home since Christmas so I can’t run out in the garage to look at it to see...
I do like the original look of the vents alot better. I’m still trying to buy that 69 Roadrunner (non-ac) car for my wife. I’m thinking about going full blown factory AC on it but don’t know if that can be accomplished without cutting up the firewall??? Was they able to cut the side vents with...
Different strokes for different folks. Me personally I like the looks of the vintage air control panel for the satellite in the stock location a lot better than those knobs.
You’ve got problems then. Maybe vent placement or a weak blower motor. I never liked the factory ac vents, especially the ones on the side because they were absolutely useless. I love the way the vents under the dash of my Vintage air spread the air out evenly through the cab and the blower is...
Thats the one I was talking about it when I said hand pump. Its probably is alot easier on the hands but I didn’t figure I’d ever use it again so that’s why I bought the one I did, cheaper lol.
I used this. I’ve read other forums and had seen several people had used and recommended them. Wasn’t for sure at first cause I’ve got bad hands but it worked great. They make one with a hand pump but it’s a little higher. REDLOONG hydraulic hose crimper...
My name is Chris lol. I too questioned leaks but from my own crimping. My AC worked good all summer without any signs of leaks, even from my own crimping and yes you are correct. At the cam adjuster plate those are all 90 degree fittings but no matter what, your evaporator hoses is going to have...
Most of your complete Vintage Kits
The added difficulty to run the lines through the firewall and the wheel well literally took me 10 minutes to mock and the cut the holes. Bet it took you way longer just fooling with that firewall plate I tossed in the trash and those hoses running through...
Yeah I put my sniper harness and vintage harness through my heater hose holes with these and plugged the rest and used some good wire loom to cover it.
On my non ac set up I took the firewall plate and slung it in the trash. I like the cleaner look a lot better of running the hoses outside of the inner fender and then through the cam adjuster plate. It’s a much much cleaner look. If I don’t do it this year, next year I’m going to mount my ac...
The more I look at my black rubber AC and heater hoses and anything else similar the more I hate them, (I plan on doing something different with that yellow battery also lol) I’m in the process of redoing my AC compressor because my brother hooked it up wrong by top mounting it and not lining it...
