@Dibbons knows a guy that can fabricate them from Stainless sheet. He quoted me a price to do one for my 1971 Runner - the price is reasonable. He has one in his car. Perhaps he will chime in and give you some more info.

I turned mine into one that does not have a radio. I bought the radio deleted bezel from a buddy. Also had the antenna hole filled in. My music will come from under the hood.

A whistle at idle usually is a lean idle mixture if not a vacuum leak. Turn the mixture screws out half a turn to see if it makes a difference.

No, I did not add a resistor, I went with this electronic flasher. A buddy uses it on his Dart that he added LED bulbs to. He says it works just fine with that flasher.
