"If you guys are old enough to remember, what was the first thing we did when these cars were new ? Ditch the rallies or dog dishes and go with a set of Keystones or Cragars !"
What I remember is after going through all those aftermarket wheels at one time or another, winding up reverting back...
E86 is the fender tag code for the 440-4bbl HP over several model years. Horse power ratings changed from year to year, downward trending over time. Nothing close to 375HP offered in ’74, the 275HP is correct for that year.
U4A is part of the VIN, U = 440 275HP(net) 1-4BBL 8 CYL, 4 = 1974, A =...

"I never once denied that my collision shop fell short of the line on quality control. The paint has many issues that need addressed. Some welds are missing in various areas that need to be attention. The body man who did the job was not a Mopar guy and made multiple mistakes on the reassembly...
Quick & easy test, remove the sending unit lead and ground it, gauge should full range. If not, there is an open between the sending unit leads and the gauges in question. The fact that the fuel gauge works eliminates the VR as a problem. Verify the gauges are working by grounding the gauge...
Fact is, The HD rod (2951906, commonly referred to as the “six-pack” rod) was first introduced in ’70 and used through ’75 on all steel crank HP 440 applications including some truck and motor homes. Only the ’70-71(a few ’72) six barrel/six-pack HP motors running the heavier high-compression...
