List # 4672 is for a ‘71 rear outboard, center carb is likely 4670 and the front would have been 4671. Technically, GA4 is Winchester Grey.

Check the measurement from the bottom column housing to the welded joint pictured, should be around 5 1/8”, anything less, the shaft plastic shear pins have broken, and shaft has collapsed a bit. Also, be sure you pay attention to the coupling slip joint location in the final mounting.

The shaft has likely collapsed a bit, plastic locating pins have broken, fairly common with age. Give the steering wheel a good yank aft with the three bracket bolts loosened a bit.

There is a slot in the top of the frame rail, that with a tab on the bracket, precisely locates the bracket location.

Knock the roll pin out at the gear box input shaft, pull the column out, looks like you have everything else loose. Just noticed the column shifter, will need to disconnect the shift linkage as well.

3", looks to be about 14 gauge thick, I've got quite a bit of bed liner on it, can't measure the thickness. By my experience, any ’71 426 and 440 (V & U codes) and any ’72 440 should have received torque boxes and shackle plates.

’72 Road Runner GTX, should be pretty easy to replicate, appears to be flat stock with a hole in middle. I assume the ’71 brace is the same.

Others doing this installation will likely run into this as well. The DD uses a LED brake waring light. Its dimly lit with the pressure differential switch connected at the combination valve, key on, parking brake off. Any LED used as a brake warning light will do this on these cars as well...
