Nylon windage trays good or not?

I have one on mine and have 2 complaints. 1 Because of where they located the rubber seals they tend to intersect with the dimples in the pan. 2 If you apply any RTV to areas where there may be a leak (rear main, timing chain cover) the RTV will rip the seal right out of the tray next time...

How to make old Mopars better?

Best upgrades to make an old Mopar more enjoyable. Disk brakes. O.D. transmission (TKO 600 or T56 for me). Fuel system upgrade. Complete suspension overhaul. That's where I'd spend my money. Fuel system upgrade.. what I'm referring to is the vapor lock issue that's so prevalent today with...

    Whats everyone working on?

Easier question would be what am I not working on! I rebuilt my motorcross track 2 weeks ago so I'm still cleaning up after that (brush, tree roots and smoothing out the dirt) and adding drainage. Still trying to wrap up my dad's truck. I bought an LMC exhaust kit for it that really...

    Mirrors are not very tight.

On mine I used double sided 3m tape to attach a handle to the glass so I could pop it off, once removed all I had to do was tighten the spring down.. no more problems.

Best typ of cars to buy (in my opinion)

I found one of what I would call a screaming hot deal a few years ago and will be starting on very soon. It's a 72 Satty, yes I've heard it a million times.. 2nd gens (actually 3rd gen on Satty's) are undesirable, ugly :blah::blah::blah:... maybe to some but not me. I happen to love the mean...

Best typ of cars to buy (in my opinion)

I like solid basketcases, projects that got torn apart and never finished because they're cheap and I have zero use for anything that reassembles "factory correct". Half the fun is the build.

    Spark plug wires

Looks like it should do the job. If you go this route a little silicone lube sure help the boots slide.

    Spark plug wires

150% agree. I buy Taylor universal wires and have the appropriate crimp tool, wires always fit perfect that way.

What's the first car that you drove over 100 mph?

Unfortunately mine was an 81 Camaro, it was my first car, what I could find and afford. In my town growing up in the 80's you just didn't see classic Mopars, still rarely do except for mine even today.

    Frame Connectors, Freaking windshield!

With the thick rubber windshield gasket I just don't see how it's cracking as a fault of the car unless something it really wrong. That rubber should allow for a decent amount of movement. Any chance the car is tweaked, roof ever been repaired, any chance they got the wrong glass?

I’m noticing a few cars breaking down

Amen brother, I'll never understand those who lock them away and never get them out.. makes no sense to even own one? Nice RR, I dig the body color rims and dog dishes:thumbsup:

I’m noticing a few cars breaking down

I think it's more because of **** quality on simple parts than anything else. I'm pushing maybe 450-500 HP and with 16,000 miles on it I've broken down because of an ignition switch (non OE), a serpentine idler bearing, a Carter fuel pump (not American made) and had a brand new brake light...

I’m noticing a few cars breaking down

Could have something to do with the Wuhan flu, there's a bunch of guys that only drive them to shows... A year with no shows means a year of not being driven?

    Sea Foam vs...

I coat the cylinders with motor oil on every motor I put together incase they don't get fired for a while, never had a problem.. oil burns out pretty quick. Might be worth a piece of mind to pull a few plugs and look inside, likely whoever bolted it together used some lube. I agree just about...

    Stock or not?

100% agree, I almost hate car shows anymore! Unfortunately most are judged around here but judged by people who know nothing about cars especially classics.

    Stock or not?

If they don't specify then I say your good. To me I consider stock to be a car that looks stock, maybe everything isn't "original" but the parts are all ones that could have came on the car but you won't notice without a little research? Modified I expect to start seeing custom rim and tire...

First off did you change the proportioning valve when you added rear disc brakes, it will require a different one from what it had.
