Welcome from another 67 owner. Even the C2 Corvette guys are accepting of fakes, clones, restorods, etc as long as everything is upfront. There’s even a C2 convertible owner on the Corvette Forums with a transplanted 392 dual quad Hemi and Dana60 in it. Everyone loves it. It’s all good.

It looks like a very nice car. 440s are torque monsters and even with 3.23 gears should boil the tires from kicking the throttle from a dead stop and idle. But they can be off due to lazy timing, And if it’s a CAP car the distributor is anything but optimal. So a distributor tune up and...

Welcome. If you have to ask if a 67 GTX is a muscle car I would check the engine to make sure someone didn’t slip a 361/383 in to it.

68GTXMAN is pretty hard to top so I’ll just say nice car and welcome.

It may take a few months but some pretty nice cars go through the for sale part of this forum that are in pretty solid shape to really nice and are realistically priced. Take your time.

Welcome. That’s a pretty rough 67. the reproduction market for 66 and 67 is pretty limited compared to 68 and up. It’s usually a money pit to buy one that needs a lot of metal work and trim as it’s just not available at reasonable prices. Drivetrain stuff is OK and pretty interchangeable...

Welcome. Looks like a really solid basis for a nice car. The interior pieces Shown look to be nice condition. Yeah the top pie plate as they call it, usually sits on top the air cleaner lid. That’s kind of innovative to use as the lid itself. But, if it manages to seal tight to the filter...

Ahh - that explains it. Longing to duplicate that first car. I confess to having had a long standing desire to find a duplicate of my first car - an all black 64 Sort Fury so I understand that.

That’s kind of odd converting a Sports Fury into a Belvedere but it’s a nice looking car. Congratulations!
