    as said, the drag radials don't last very long. But for good traction the ET radial Pros are a very nice tire. And they don't have much sidewall movement. And I've had the ET SS streets which didn't do good for traction.

    On the rear. Put something flat across the wheel lip on top. Then measure from there to the mounting surface on the rim.

    A 275/60/15 drag radial tire on a 8 inch wheel with 4.5 inch backpack should work nicely. And I run 22 lbs on the street with no issues.
