    Looks like you have a 1970 and newer reverse linkage rod. The unused stud is used for the lockout on 1970 floor shift columns.

    My bee did the exact same thing with the exact pressure plate just out of the blue. I found that the bell crank needed servicing with new bushings and ball studs worked like a charm after.

    Yep i have one takes just a few minutes to remove and install a tail shaft bushing under the car. Ed and I done his a few years ago went smooth as silk!

    I would clean it up and make sure it’s not coming from the vent. If the trans has been rebuilt the baffle for the vent could have been left out. just a possibility.

    A keensert would be a better choice but a helicoil would be ok.

    We don’t know what the opening of the spacer installed is as well so maybe a little more info on that would be helpful.

    The street demon is designed to be used on an open plenum intake if I’m thinking correctly. The secondary butterfly looks like it would have interference with the plenum divider on a factory intake and would never open.
