the rotor button doesn’t’ physically point to the number one cylinder on the engine. Number one on the cap on a hemi is the contact right before the hold down clip on the front of the distributor when installed with the vacuum advance pointed to the driver side. Also I would recommend not...
That trim can be repaired but it takes a lot of patience and time with a trim hammer and dolly and sandpaper. Then the anodizing needs to be stripped then it can be polished.
Pull the wires from the connectors and use tarn-x on the terminals then rinse well and let dry then coat with a good electrical moisture barrier. Reinstall in connector
I don't think your tach will operate correctly with electronic ignition since it was designed for points but I could be way off saying that. but the new tach boards are made to work with both
