I used Bulldog adhesion promoter and Kolor Korrect paint on my vinyl door panels and they came out great. Not tacky. Maybe the promoter was too thick or not set up?
Another vote mass backed ACC. Installed it in my ‘65 Belvedere this summer. Molded areas fit really nice. Trimming it was not difficult- used a good (new) pair of tin snips.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’ve also been looking for a 15” spare lately and haven’t found one yet. Probably not looked as hard as you Skytrooper, but same result so far. Good luck!!
Not quite as bad as ^ but the previous owner of our house did a similar thing with extension cords. You know those cut-to- length, terminate yourself, 2 conductor lamp cord type deals. He plugged it into the outlet, looped it into the Sheetrock and made a channel in the sheet rock and spackled...
