    8 3/4 housing drain

I did the 1/8” drain plug in mine as well, (at the center bottom) when I was installing a new 3rd section. The housing gives plenty of meat to hold the plug. No concern for interference with internals. Wrapped plug with Teflon tape. It just needs to be snugged up - not cranked - to seal. So far...

    833 syncros

My .02 cents from an old timer at a NAPA I overheard talking about synthetic oil in older motors. Older motors do not have the tight tolerances of today’s motors and they don’t tolerate synthetic oil like new motors can. Makes sense to me and I would say that applies to trannys as well.

How to remove inner seal in speedometer gear housing?

I ended up using a dental pick also, once I knew there was no groove. Inserting the pinion backwards didn’t work for me or I was doing it wrong. Noted on the ring - just habit. I wear gloves and took them off to take the picture.

    Z Bar Shot?

I picked up this z bar a while back for my /6 to 383 conversion. I’ve not installed it yet and wondering if it’s worth it - or should I get another one. Notice the ends are worn and oblong as if the previous user had an alignment problem. New territory for me.

    Project snafu

This front accessories and radiator fit is still kicking my butt. Additional info from my original post. My plan is to add aftermarket AC. I have manual steering. I purchased the Bouchillon brackets for alternator, AC compressor and idler pully. That setup requires a 4-groove crack pulley. The...

“Staples….That was Easy!” Thanks for the quick reply. I didn’t finish making a sandwich and already had a response, lol. Looks like that will work. I’ll take some measurements to confirm. I’m not a motor head - I did my own body and paint but this forum is great for advice. Thanks!
