    interior plastic panels

I don’t know the white shades. My interior is not white and it’s not plastic, other than the kick plates. Here’s what I would do to prep the parts, but it’s difficult to tell from pictures how damaged the pieces are. I would get a plastic bristle scrub brush to remove the loose paint - start...

Painting them should work well as above. You may want to consider an adhesion promoter, like the Bulldog product, before paint.

Got her put together and running. Working out the bugs, trying to find all the squeaks and need to get an alignment. This was my Grandmother’s (aka Big Flo) car. My wife got me the plaque in the final photo.

    Cleaning electrical wiring connectors

Good point from twecomm above. If the corrosion (which is the oxidation of the copper due to exposure to air) is in the copper strands of the wire under the insulation, you’ll also need to watch for the wires being brittle. If that’s the case, a new harness may be in order. The unseen problems...

Fuel tank from Aeromotive is mounted. It's got the pump inside the tank so hopefully that helps with reliability. Routing the fuel and return lines now. Car is at a friend's shop where we installed the clutch, bellhsg, trans, headers, starter, etc.

Got new front and rear gaskets and glass installed. ACC carpet install went well. The fit was really good and it's a quality product with all the molded contours in the right places - I would recommend ACC to anyone looking to carpet their cars.

This car was originally a radio delete. As part of the sound system going in, I added two tweeters to the center dash speaker area. I used a piece of plexiglass to mount the tweeters in, then mounted the plexiglass to the standard speaker mount bracket that I picked up, using standoffs. Covered...

Been a while since I posted progress. Had a few project difficulties and have been working like hell trying to get it on the road. My son wants to use it in his wedding over Labor Day weekend. Gonna be close!! I had to ditch the AC idea (at least for now). I couldn't find a way to make the...

In the engine bay, started mounting some engine accessories and got all the pulleys lined up - I hope! Test fit the aftermarket Griffin radiator yesterday and found it interfered with the fan. With the help of one of the forum members here (shoutout "1 Wild RT"), it looks like a low profile fan...

Some cold weather projects in the garage over the past couple months. Mostly interior stuff. Installed Roof insulation and headliner. I had removed those headliner retainer deadly spikey things before body work - I knew that I would take meat off the hands if I didn't. Putting them back on was a...

Yes - standard colors available from Legendary but I had them make the seat covers in that combo. Since I needed a new interior, I had a clean slate and based it on the original paint color - dark turquoise metallic.

Original door panels were the tan/dark grey combo. After cleaning and prepping the hell out of them, they got new colors using paint from KolorKorrect that matches the seats.

Got my replacement dash bezel from PG Industries recently. Original vs new pic below. The new bezel does not come with the lens - my original lens was in good shape so I transferred it to the new bezel. What I didn’t know was that I also had to transfer the green lenses for the blinkers because...

This was all scrap wood I had laying around. I used a 2x6 and drilled 4 holes through the saddle and the 2x6. I recessed the machine screws into the 2x6 so they were below the surface. The arms are something like a 2x3 that I cut at an angle so they would rest against the edge of the 2x6 and...

Thanks. The only thing I’m not doing in my driveway is the motor handling. I had the rebuilt motor delivered to a friends shop and trailered the car there. We mounted the motor to the k-frame and assembled the front suspension at the same time. The motor is temporarily mounted right now. Plan to...

Haven’t posted in a while but things are progressing. I wet sanded and buffed the paint. Got the motor rebuilt. Married the trans to motor and positioned it to cut the floor pan for the shifter. Started adding sound and heat barrier.
