No crank, no start, no accessories but headlights work.

Ahh, I'm with you on checking the bulkhead connector first, I also had what I thought was an ignition switch on a challenger but turned to be in the wire harness under the dash. Time consuming process of elimination

No crank, no start, no accessories but headlights work.

I had the same thing happen to me. Bought a reproduction positive cable and it was fine for a few month, had a no crank issue that drove me nuts for a bit until I did a voltage drop test on the cable and found the culprit. Worth the time to investigate

    Info Needed

Watch it close, if it's a constant voltage regulator, on a long trip it will fry that battery

    Info Needed

Pretty sure that voltage regulator is also a race only piece. Constant 14 volts and if so it's worthless in a street car. Think boiled battery!

    Switching to Electronic Ignition

FBO is quality american made products. I have it and love mine. If you give him your specs, he will curve and phase the distributor as well. Never heard of replacing the switch, don't know why you would need to do that Here's the web site on a conversion kit: http://4secondsflat.com/Ignition.html

    Spark but no Fire

There is only one way to seat the rotor, if you are 180 out, you have to pull the distributor and turn 180

    Timing issues

Sounds like you have checked all the boxes. I would go with moparedtn advise and check with a piston stop to confirm true TDC. Beyond that, if it aint broke, don't fix it. If it starts well there and runs with no valve knock then leave her there. Something isn't right though. No way she is truly...

    Timing issues

Are you using a dial back timing light? My understanding is that you can't use them with an MSD ignition because they give a false number. Pretty sure you have to use a standard timing light with MSD

Road Runner Horn - Have you got the correct one?

I agree, I know I have an aftermarket horn but I would be interested in how to tune it. Thanks for posting

    Electronic ignition choices

I went with an FBO system. High quality, great service! You give Don your specs and he will curve and phase the distributor to your combo. Full conversion kit is $560 http://4secondsflat.com/Ignition.html

Anyone buy reproduction positive battery cables? Would like to see pics of them on your battery.

Recently commented on another post regarding these but I'll share it here as well. I had trouble with a repop cable for the roadrunner and I'm not the only one. I had a no start issue that drove me nuts because the cable was only a few months old so I didn't suspect it. I just ended up with a...

    battery cable

Not sure what the difference is but I will tell you that I had trouble with a repop cable for the roadrunner and I'm not the only one. I had a no start issue that drove me nuts because the cable was only a few months old so I didn't suspect it. I just ended up with a parts store generic but it's...

Who makes the best distributor? (MP rotor phasing issue)

I use an FBO distributor and ecu. Don will curve and phase the distributor to your engine specs. No complaints

    Yup, another fuel gage question......

yeah that sucks. I'ts a crap shoot with the aftermarket senders. Hey FBBO vendors, you have a wide open market for whoever can reproduce a "working" sending unit!

    Yup, another fuel gage question......

Yeah, I get 3/4 tank reading from my sender when the tank is full. I just live with it. You would think by now somebody would be making a good repop but I guess not
