The main threaded hole for the air cleaner stud is a different size and shallower than the factory holley 1/4". For the proform you will need a 5/16 rod or you can buy adaptors . For the price of an adaptor your honestly better off buying a piece of 5/16 threaded...
I purchased a the proform 67101c main body to install on my holley 3310 750 Vac secondary carburetor. This main body gives you down leg booster , adjustable air bleeds, and no choke horn. It is basically a holley HP series main body at fraction of the cost. Best of all I keep the efficiency...
Hmmm. You bought these from a store ? Or a swap meet? Sounds like maybe someone had custom bent themselves..... here is a picture of mine..... doesn't go under the distributor. There isn't enough room for that.
Not sure what you mean ? If your talking about fuel line that connects directly to the bowls on the càrb. Those are carb specific ( 4150 or 4160 usually ) Or are you talking about the line that comes from the pump all the way to the carb ? I don't know of any pre bent lines from the pump...
Im looking at switching up my carburetor setup. I have the good old reliable Holley 3310 on it currently. As my knowledge increases I know that there are much better carbs out there. This carb lacks a few things that i am looking for.
I would like down-leg booster
I would like adjustable air...
I think I finally got it!
Replaced all the plugs and put in a new rotor I checked each wire for resistance .
Fired up and took it for a drive . I immediately noticed the car idling better in gear. I went for short drive, enough to get the car up to operating temp and conditions when the...
I'm not running a vacuum advance. Never have either.
I'm picking up the plugs and new rotor tomorrow... I will toss them in and take it for a drive. If the miss is still there I will try bumping the timing up .
I understand what you are trying to say but I really don't feel that is my problem. 44* initial timing ? On a street car ? Almost sounds like a locked out drag race car ! .
Why would the car run absolutely amazing the previous year with the exact same tuning set up . Then suddenly develop a...
Little update .
I have not grabbed a new distributor rotor yet. But I did check the manifold bolts the driver side did take about 1/4 turn.
The way I have one of my vacuum lines is off front manifold vacuum port of the carb. Goes back to the fire wall and over near the brake booster. I...
Well the carb was pulled, so I can check that off the list. I went threw and rest timing / idle mixture and idle speed. I pulled the distributor cap and did noticed some carbon tracing or arcing on rotor cap?
This is a brand new problem , nothing has changed on the car. I had the car running extremely well with the current setup. Something is either failing / or I thought it might be the new Ethanol fuel that i have to run. The fuel was the only thing that changed with the setup , from when it was...
well since my last post I have pulled the carb. It was more or less spotless inside. The accell pump shot seems find so I didn't pull that part. Reading up on ethanol fuel, I found out that E10 likes to burn at 14.0:1 as apposed to 14.7 for pure gasoline. I had my carb tuned to 14.7 for cruise...
This is what I did. As long as you know your gague is Calibrated somewhat correctly, and your sending unit is supplying consistent resistances. Use the meter match to make it read what it should .
After market sending unit will tell you when it's full and empty.... everything in between is a...
All vacuum hose are good. They are actually all new.
Plugs are decent ... not ideal but the car isn't running ideal either.
Going to yank the carb see what the the bowls looks like and accel pump diaphragm
I will do once over of the vacuum hoses .... the car does not have vacuum advance for the distributor.
I had pulled a couple of the plugs when fixing the boots. They look pretty good but I will pull them all on passenger side bank and see.
If everything still comes up fine. I guess will...
