Thanks for the feedback. The good news is that I found a really nice set of originals from a member here. I always try to find original parts over repops, but as we all know it's not always that easy.
Sorry, I think you misunderstood. I know where to buy them, I was wondering where you bought yours from so other members and myself don't end up buying inferior products. Classic would be the last place I would buy anything. They have some good products, but their shipping costs are nothing...
Where did you buy your replacement battery cable? It would be good to know. I am about to buy a replacement for my car and want to get the correct one.
Specifically I'm looking at buying a set of 70 big block valve covers. The AMD ones look nice, but I wonder if anybody has used them. What are they like for quality and fitment? Opinions please.
I lived in Germany for a time and would often commute between Hamburg and Kiel. Its about a 1 hour drive @ 120mph. If you don't drive those speeds then you get literally run over by other road users. I have to say though, most of the cars on the road were BMW, Mercedes, Skoda etc. 120mph is fast...
Try Jeff at 521 restorations. He freighted a tank for my Charger to New Zealand and it cost me $161. Still expensive, but it is a big item. Also, shop around. I have found USPS to be much cheaper than FEDEX for example.
Hey guys,
Can anybody please confirm the power steering pump for me? Its out of a 73 Charger 400 with AC. I am pretty sure it is a federal but would just like some confirmation.
Cheers
No worries. My car is virtually stock and I'm passionate about keeping it that way, however somebody had just put brand new flow master duals on it with chrome tips when I got it. For one I think the twin exhausts look and sound better, and also they are brand new so it would be stupid to change...
Sorry not an expert on the subject, but I can tell you that the original 400 2bbl had a single exhaust and no tips. I believe it was a standard tail pipe that was bent down at the end. The 4bbl had twin pipes.
