Hmm, on my 70 Coronet Convertible the sill plates just run past about an inch, not what you have shown there. Mine could have been messed with though, no telling. Sorry no pic of that at the moment
Good point. I guess what I should have asked is, how is the quality? I have an original Tuff Wheel but it needs restoration. I am sure that it is far more cost effective to purchase a re-pop, but as we all know most of that stuff comes from China and its usually inferior quality to the originals.
Not to hijack, but I have a concern about this. I ordered a headliner and sail panels from Legendary for my 73 SE which took over a year to supply. It was NOS material. I know you are correct about the cardboard sail panels for the SE model. Its just dawned on me that they have supplied me the...
Waited over a year for my headliner. It was gold and not the usual black or white headliner. They were good to deal with and were at the mercy of ACC whom there supplier was, however it was frustrating to be told that it won’t be too long, when in fact it was a crazy long time. Having said that...
I have purchased a new headliner for my car from Legendary. It took over a year to get it (no its not made from Panda). I am not quite ready to install it in my car yet, so I will need to store it. Has anybody done this, then used it after it has been stored for some time? My gut feeling is to...
I bought a headliner from SMS. I have had to wait a staggering 14 months for them just to send the material. I lost count of how many times I followed this up with emails and phone calls only to be told that it will be shipped “next week”. If I had a dollar for everyone I’ve heard that one...
I will let you know when I receive mine. Waiting for SMS to supply the fabric to legendary so they can make it. I’ve been waiting 8 months and counting.
Have you checked out ECS's molded carpet? I havent seen any examples of his stuff yet in person, but everything else they sell is top notch so I imagine the carpet is too.
Gentlemen, thanks so much for you help. I really don't want to get this wrong. I did look at my FSM however it is very unclear on this particular subject.
I'm in the process of buying a new headliner for my car. (1973 Dodge Charger SE). I work away and am currently not near my car to check myself. Can anybody please tell me how many bows are used for this model? I don't want to tell them the wrong info and have an expensive mistake on my hands...
Yes that is true. It really depends how far you want to go with your restoration. I do believe, or though I have not done it this way but you could remove your steering column to get it out. If others know more about this please chime in.
I have mine fully disassembled at the moment but it is out of the car. It would be a nightmare, if not impossible to remove the pad while still in the car. There are a series of nuts holding the pad to the steel framed dash core. My advice is to remove the whole dash assembly and do it properly...
My window rollers from my 73 Charger have many flat spots on them and I want to replace them. My originals have been inserted and peined over. I am assuming that this one (pictured) is the correct one, but I have been unable to find it in my parts catalog. Can anybody please confirm that this is...
Haha, very good. Yes those things will enhance my build. If I could only get some paint on the body of my car. All in good time I guess. These cars are just one enjoyable step at a time.
