Got the car in high-build primer now, one more round of sanding, removed all the door handles/locks/mirror and antenna. Hoping to get it in sealer and start painting soon. Picked up a Bulge hood yesterday thanks to a lead from another member "1Tlew0"
Been a bit since my last update, after months of sanding and finish work on the welds, I'm onto the second round of DTM, sanding again and hope to have it in high-build primer this weekend.
Several weeks of grinding on the underside, front to back...everything is coated with POR 15. Dirty *ss work, crawling around on the floor removing 53 years of grime. Turned out pretty nice for what will be a daily driver. Now on to finishing the topside.
Car was picked up today from the welder/fabricator and delivered to my garage! Plan on starting the body work this weekend. Here's some pics of today's events.
Thanks MADCIMA, the only pictures I have to go from are old, so the paint colors looks gold. The car had multiple translucent layers of candy orange, red, and yellow over either gold or silver. Still trying to figure it out. Here!s a few more shots.
