400 230 blocks pre date code Oct 1971 had the thickest main webbing. That I believe are the strongest 400 block for stroker build. The 630 400s were said to have the thickest cylinder walls. Thus certainly more beneficial to a boost w/Nitrous setup.
Block condition certainly overrides any block...
I'm coming around to the "Coke bottle" design of 71-74 too. And because its an original 318? No sin making a custom or resto. Are you planning crate? Or build a Gen 3 yourself?
And for the record? The street GTX joined my '74 a-body 451 drag build Duster. And my '70 Cuda e-body pro street project. So I have entertained many debates on "Value" of cross model comparisons.
Again, if I was selling a '73 Challenger? My opinion and tactics would be different. First. "Clean...

Almost certainly a visual abnormality. Body lines in conflict with garage lines. I'm betting it's not as prominent with different vehicles? And may be just how your eyes interpret? Just need to focus on a different reference. Like some what was suggested. Tape lines on the floor. Or even a...
I passed on a 74 with auto for $2500 in simular shape. Damn those things rusted hard. The 4-speed helps. But I'm not too eager on the 73-74. Oops. My bad. My pass was on a 74 Roadrunner. Not sure much value difference between Charger and Roadrunner. But the seem to decay simular?
